Our story
Founded in 1956, the school was once known as the Language School of the German Canadian Club of Calgary. Thousands of students have gone through the program since then.

Credits & Certifications
CEFRL
All students can achieve accreditation in German language proficiency, using the CEFRL levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).
GERMAN SPRACHDIPLOM I & II
Students enrolled in the CGLSS are prepared for the the German Sprachdiplom I and II exams. Those who pass the I and II levels, and have completed Grade 12, can apply for university entry in Germany.
GERMAN 10, 20, 30 COURSE CREDITS
We follow Alberta Education’s 3-year program of study for German language and culture. Each course is worth 5 credits towards a high school diploma.
