Principal's Letter

Dear Parents and CGLSS Community,

The holiday season is over, and we wanted to thank all of you for your support of our version of a Weihnachtsmarkt. It was a wonderful showcase of student work and their creativity brought out by our outstanding group of teachers. Our CGLS Board did an exceptional job as our guest judges for the table displays and their contributions were much appreciated by all of the staff. As we continue moving forward it is now time for some of our learners to take part in exams which will be happening in our A1 (Advanced Red), A2 (Yellow) and DSD1 (High School) groups of students in both February and March. We wish them all good luck and we know each student will do their best as they tackle the upcoming challenge.

As we continue moving in and out of winter and spring temperatures it is creating some extra floor maintenance issues and we need your help. Please send appropriate indoor footwear with your kids to change into while in the community centre as they have requested all patrons to have a change of shoes when coming indoors. We do want to remind everyone to dress appropriately for changing temperatures as children of all ages go outside for their breaks as well as participating in outdoor teaching opportunities.

We will still need your help to ensure we have a healthy and safe year. If you or your child are feeling unwell, please do not come or send them to class and contact a health professional for direction. We ask that both students and staff continue to monitor themselves for any health concerns and consult the AHS website for updates.

We wish everyone a heart smart February.
